Deutsche Bank Bonuses Rise to Decade High

Deutsche Bank, Germany’s largest lender, awarded $2.7 billion in variable compensation to staff for their work in 2024, it said in its annual report published Thursday. That’s a 26% increase on the amount granted a year earlier. Deutsche Bank increased its bonus pool to the largest amount in a decade, after a surge in deals and trading last year drove results. Bloomberg News’ Jenny Surane details what is driving the big shift. Surane speaks to Guy Johnson, Kriti Gupta and Anna Edwards on ‘Bloomberg: The Opening Trade.’ (Source: Bloomberg)
