Israeli Economy Minister On Future of War, Europe Trade, Budget

Huge support from the Trump administration has changed the ‘ecosystem’ for Israel, economy minister Nir Barkat said in an interview in Brussels. Barkat didn’t comment on whether Israel would resume fighting following the end of a ceasefire agreement on Sunday, but said US President Donald Trump is “very supportive of Israel’s bold moves and has told it ‘do what you need to do to win the war.’ To stop the violence in Gaza and get our hostages back.” Barkat spoke to Bloomberg’s Max Ramsay about the future of the war, as well as boosting trade with Europe, Ukraine support and Israel’s budget.
