Who is shooting America’s app-based gig workers?

On November 1st, 2023, National Conservative published the largest collection of app-based gig-worker murders ever made. A total of 63 murders, of which 48 had a known suspect. Activists groups had been claiming that “People of Color” and immigrants were being disproportionately killed. However, all of these groups censors who the suspects are. What we discovered was shocking. 83.3% of known suspects were Black. Only 4.2% were White.

If anything, it is actually Whites who are disproportionately murdered, since so few of the perps of White.

Now we are updating the list with another 28 murders. Of these, 23 have a known race for the suspect.

Total per year:

2021: 27

2025: 7

In cases where the race of a suspect is confirmed:

White: 3
Latino: 4
Middle Eastern: 3
Black: 61
Unsolved: 20

Race of the victims:

Black: 37
White: 22
Latino: 14
Central Asian: 9
East Asian: 3
Middle Eastern: 4
Unnamed Victim: 2
