Coast Guard Finds Crashed Plane In Alaska; At Least 3 Dead

The United States Coast Guard in Alaska on Friday night reported that it found a crashed plane near where a missing passenger plane was expected to be found, and three people were confirmed deceased.

The FBI, Coast Guard, National Guard, and the Nome Volunteer Fire Department were searching for the plane that disappeared while flying over Alaska on Thursday.

The plane departed from the Alaskan city of Unalakleet at 2:37 p.m. on Thursday and was heading to Nome, when officials lost contact with it less than an hour later. There were 10 people on board the flight, including the pilot.

The Coast Guard posted on X that it was ending its search for the plane after it was believed to be found 34 miles southeast of Nome.
