Texas Christian radio station 94.9 FM KLTY is set to go quiet after four decades on the air, according to an announcement from the North Texas broadcaster.
“It’s with heavy hearts that we tell you that 94.9 KLTY is coming to a close on January 31st. We are so incredibly blessed to have had the honor to serve each of you in North Texas for the last 40 years,” read a message the station posted to Instagram on January 17.
While KLTY will be no more, 94.9 FM will continue broadcasting Christian music under the call letter KLOVE.
“You’ve listened since you were a kid and now your kids listen and in some cases, you’re grandkids now listen!” the post continued.
“Friday, January 31st will be 94.9 KLTY’s last day to broadcast in Dallas/Fort Worth. Beginning the following day, your favorite Christian music will continue on 94.9 as KLOVE. All of your favorite on-air friends, however, will not but that’s ok. We will miss you immensely and are excited for the next opportunity God has for each of us.” […]
